What does it do?

It controls the batteries charging cycle and allows each pack to be charged to the safe & proper voltage. It:

monitors each cell voltage

monitors each cell balance

shuts the charge off at the appropriate rate

Does it limit the output voltage or current of the batteries?

No. The power output lead (black) is connected directly to the pack cells allowing for uninterrupted power to the receiver and servos.

Can the battery power shut off inadvertently while in use?

No. The "Charge Safe CircuitryTM" only controls the charge of the pack. There is no circuitry on the power output side of the pack.

If the "Stay Balance Charge Safe Circuitry^TM" were to fail would it affect my plane?

No. You would simply not be able to charge the battery pack.

Does the DURALITE® Charger have safety features as well?

Yes. Our chargers are equipped with charge control circuitry as a safety precaution in the event they are used with non DURALITE PLUSTM Battery Packs.

DURALITE PLUSTM is the only hobby industry battery that is designed with two leads.
The yellow connector lead is for the charging cycle and is connected directly to the Charge Safe Circuitry.
The black connector is the power output lead (voltage out). This connects directly to your switch.
