With the development of the latest high torque servos, power management systems required to provide consistent voltage and current supply have been identified as a potential issue. To resolve this issue, Duralite Flight Systems have developed a new line of High Current products.
The Duralite High Current series of RX packs are now available in Lithium Ion, Manganese and Polymer configurations with 16 gauge wire and Deans connectors. The Duralite High Current 7.5 amp switching style regulators also utilize 16 gauge wire and Deans connectors complete with RX adapters resulting in less resistance, consistent operating voltage and are able to supply the current that the latest high torque servos such as the JR 8711 servos demand.
For higher amp requirements we have developed the new Binary High Current 15 amp switching regulator system which takes advantage of the higher current that the Duralite Plus Manganese and Polymer packs can deliver. The Binary regulator consists of two independent 7.5 amp regulators wired in a parallel redundant configuration for exceptional performance. There will be more information next month on the Binary Regulator

We are pleased to announce that the response to our Switch and Save program has been very positive.
The program was launched in August to assist pilots making the decision to start flying with lithium technology instead of Ni Cad or NiMh cells. For new lithium users we now offer either a 2900 mah or 4300 mah Lithium Ion pack, 5.3 volt or 6 voltage regulator with heavy duty switch, load tester and a free 2 port charger! This promotion saves the pilot $65.00 and let's them experience the advantage of Lithium power! Tell your friends.

Discharge Module

|
The winter season is now coming and for those of us who are unable to go flying due to the weather conditions, it is important to know how to best store your packs during this time of year.
Many Lithium users think that by storing their packs fully charged serves two purposes. (1) the packs shelf life will be prolonged and (2) the packs will be ready to fly in case the weather breaks. Although the second purpose is valid, storing packs fully charged for long periods of time is not good for the cells. Lithium cells are best left in a partial state of charge of around 3.7 volts per cell. This means that a RX pack should be stored at 7.4 volts and a TX pack should be stored at 11.1 volts.
The Duralite 7.4 volt Battery Discharge Module is now available with automatic shut off for preparing your packs for off season storage and exercising 7.4 volt Duralite receiver, Power Box and ECU packs.

When you think of R/C jets you think of BVM. An icon in the RC model world and a company whose name is synonymous with quality and engineering.
Having built a Bobcat myself, I speak from hands on experience that BVM products are as good as they come. BVM stands for Bob Violett Models. Bob is an ex US Navy pilot and the chief test pilot for all his new products. Duralite and BVM have been working together to provide the best battery power systems for their entire line of jet aircraft. This includes the FlightPower packs for the new line of electric ducted fan jets. We invite you to visit Bob's web site at www.bvmjets.com and view his great product line.
